Parrots eat larger seeds, nuts and fruits. Here you'll find mixes, hand-rearing food, individual seeds, egg food and minerals for parrots and large parakeets.
Mixes
Deli Nature No. 64 Parrots Supreme with Fruits comes in a 15 kg bag and is suitable as basic food for keepers with multiple birds and for breeders. Mixes for smaller species such as lovebirds and parakeets are available under Large Parakeet Food.
Hand-Rearing
For hand-rearing parrots, we stock Nutribird A19 in 800 g and 3 kg as well as Nutribird A21 in 800 g and 3 kg. Both are mixed with warm water according to manufacturer's instructions.
Individual Seeds for Supplementing
Red Milo, Thistle Seed, Canary Seed and Yellow Peas are available from Eurital in 2.5 kg and 5 kg. Spray Millet is ideal as a treat.
Egg Food and Minerals
During breeding season, breeders supplement with egg food, such as Deli Nature Egg Food Moist for Large Parakeets & Parrots. All varieties are available under Egg Food for Birds. These pair well with the Orlux Mineral Bloc for pecking and Grit in a separate bowl. Find more ornamental birds under Ornamental Bird Food.
Which Size?
For one or two birds, individual seeds in 2.5 kg and spray millet in 1 kg are sufficient. If you keep multiple birds or breed, large bags of 15 to 20 kg offer better value per kilo. Store seeds in a cool, dry and sealed container. Orders over €60 within Germany ship free (up to 31 kg).
