Re-Scha Immun-o-flash

Complementary feed for ornamental birds, racing pigeons, terrarium animals, small rodents and pet rabbits

Immun-o-flash® contains yeast (inactive, from Saccharomyces cerevisiae), yeast extracted, spirulina algae, algal meal, taiga root powder and linseed cake as well as biotin; as technological additives calcium ascorbate and tocopherol extracts from vegetable oils.

Use

Immun-o-flash® can also be given over a longer period. The duration of use depends on the animal species and stage of life, as described below.

Use for the target species

Ornamental birds

Parent or breeding birds: receive Immun-o-flash® via the seed, soft or sprouted feed over a period of approx. 3 weeks. After a three-week break, Immun-o-flash® is again given over a period of 7-14 days. Use can begin at least three weeks before egg laying. It is important in this context that use also extends beyond the entire laying phase. This form of use can be repeated several times a year.

Young birds: freshly hatched young of the first clutch generally receive Immun-o-flash® over a period of at least 10 days via the parent birds' feed. Administration to young of the second and third brood is also possible. Immun-o-flash® can be used throughout the entire rearing period. This means: the parent birds receive Immun-o-flash® from the chicks' first day of life until the young fledge (throughout the entire nestling or nest box phase).

Immun-o-flash® can be given at the same time as the re-scha products „Frucht-mash“ and „Tarsin“ in equal parts.

Racing pigeons

It is recommended to supply the parent birds with Immun-o-flash® first. Before the pairing period or before the start of breeding, Immun-o-flash® is given over a period of approx. 2-3 weeks. Administration should fall within the egg-laying period. This use can be repeated several times a year, also with a shortened period of use.

Young birds: freshly hatched young are supplied with Immun-o-flash® via the parent birds' feed over a period of 7-14 days. Weaned young pigeons receive Immun-o-flash® at irregular intervals (6-8 weeks) over a period of 7-14 days. Before the start of the young bird races, Immun-o-flash® can be given from at least 8 weeks beforehand over a period of at least 14 days.

Racing pigeons (old or young birds): receive Immun-o-flash® approx. 4-6 weeks before the start of the racing season over a period of 2-3 weeks. The supplementary feeding of Immun-o-flash® should initially be completed approx. 1 week before the start of the training flights. Immun-o-flash® can also be given after an extremely hard flight. This use is possible three to four times during the racing season over a period of 2-3 days (beginning to middle of the week).

Terrarium animals, small rodents and pet rabbits

During transport, changes of feed, during breeding and during the change of coat, Immun-o-flash® can be fed as a supplement. Terrarium animals, small rodents and pet rabbits initially receive Immun-o-flash® via the feed as a starting course over a period of approx. three weeks. After a break of approx. three weeks, Immun-o-flash® is given again over a period of approx. one week. This option can be repeated several times a year: the longer the interval between uses, the longer the period of use.

Dosage and administration

The recommended dosage is approx. 8-10g per kg of seed feed. If administration is via sprouted or rearing feed (birds!), the dosage should be increased. When administered via sprouted or rearing feed, the dosage should then be chosen so that general acceptance of the feed is still ensured.

1 level measuring spoon contains 3g Immun-o-flash®. This means: 3 measuring spoons/kg of seed feed correspond to the recommended dosage.
Immun-o-flash® is best bound to the feed with the help of re-scha's „Frutin“. However, for individual use per bird, it is also possible simply to sprinkle Immun-o-flash® over the feed or mix it in dry. Detailed mixing instructions can also be found in the „Frutin directions for use“.
