Eurital Yellow Peas

Single feed for birds

Peas (Pisum sativum) belong to the subfamily of legumes within the family of pulses. Protein-rich peas have therefore been considered an important crop for humans and animals for thousands of years. The 3-12 cm long pods of the legumes contain an average of 4-10 seeds, the actual edible peas, which come in different colors depending on the variety and ripeness: yellow peas, green peas, brownish peas and, more rarely, black peas.

Peas are rich in essential amino acids such as cysteine, methionine, lysine, isoleucine, leucine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan, and valine. Peas are also rich in minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, sodium, potassium, magnesium, iron, manganese, and copper.

Instructions for use: Yellow peas usually contain slightly more starch than green peas and are particularly favored by pigeon breeders as a feed component during breeding and in the racing season. They are well suited for mixing into individual feeding plans.

Legumes, such as peas, can be used in homemade cooked food for parrots or mash.
