Vanrobaeys floor covering is extracted from underground lava, making it a natural product. It therefore provides more hygiene and dryness in the pigeon loft and is completely harmless to the pigeons.
By converting this porous material into granules, the Vanrobaeys floor covering granules have a high capacity to absorb moisture! For example, if droppings come into contact with the floor covering granules, they dry out in a very short time, thus interrupting the development cycle of a number of parasites. At the same time, it neutralizes the odor of the droppings.
Even if, for example, young pigeons produce somewhat watery droppings, it is recommended to scatter some Vanrobaeys floor covering granules in and around the nesting bowl. This effectively combats moisture and odor development. At the same time, it insulates against cold. This significantly improves the loft climate, which also has a positive effect on the pigeons' form!
Due to its moisture-absorbing property, Vanrobaeys floor covering granules last a very long time and are therefore economical to use. It is sufficient to rake out the covering once a week. Therefore, it can remain in the loft for up to a year.
