Budgerigars primarily eat small seeds such as millet and canary seed. Here you'll find ready-made seed mixes, individual seeds for supplementing, egg food for rearing, as well as grit, minerals, and bird sand.
Seed mixes as main feed
Deli Nature mixes come in 20 kg sacks and are intended for keepers with multiple birds and breeders: Deli Nature No. 51 Budgerigar Basic as a base mix, plus No. 67 and No. 74 Superchamp, compiled with breeder Daniel Lütolf. For sprouted seed, there's Prestige Sprouted Seed Parakeets & Exotics.
Individual seeds and ear millet
Yellow millet, red millet, and canary seed are packaged by us as Eurital in 2.5 kg and 5 kg. Yellow ear millet and red ear millet are available in 1 kg and 5 kg. Ear millet is offered on the stem and is a popular treat.
Egg food for rearing
During breeding season, breeders supplement seeds with egg food, for example Quiko Egg Food Classic or Deli Nature Egg Food Budgerigars. All varieties are available under Egg Food for Birds.
Grit, minerals, and bird sand
Grit and minerals belong in a separate bowl. Bird sand with lime and anise is available from 1.75 kg to 25 kg. You'll find more decorative bird feed under Decorative Bird Feed.
Which size?
For one or two birds, individual seeds in 2.5 kg and ear millet in 1 kg are sufficient. Those with multiple birds or breeding stock save per kilo by purchasing the large sacks of 15 to 20 kg. Store seeds in a cool, dry, sealed place. We deliver free shipping within Germany for orders from €60 (up to 31 kg).
