The mix is ideal as sprouting or soaking food to supplement daily feeding, especially during breeding, rearing, and molting.

The high proportion of various millet varieties and Katjang Idjoe (mung beans) ensures a tasty and easily digestible supplement to the diet. Sprouted seeds contain particularly many natural vitamins and enzymes that support the growth and well-being of the birds.

Feeding Recommendation

The mix can be offered both as soaking food and as sprouting food.

Soaking food:

Rinse seeds thoroughly under running water.
Soak for 6–24 hours at room temperature (change water several times).
Then rinse thoroughly and drain well.

Sprouting food:

Rinse seeds thoroughly.
Soak for approximately 6 hours (change water several times).
Rinse thoroughly again.
Then allow to sprout for 24–48 hours in a sprouting tray or sieve and moisten regularly.

For hygiene reasons, sprouting food should always be freshly prepared and renewed regularly. It can be fed plain or mixed with egg food, such as NutriBird Egg Food. Fresh drinking water should always be available.
