Main food
As a base food, mixtures for large parakeets are suitable, which you can find under Large parakeet food. If you want to mix or supplement yourself, choose Safflower seed, Yellow millet and Canary seed from Eurital in 2.5 kg and 5 kg.
Spray millet and sprouting food

Egg food, grit and minerals
During the breeding season, many keepers supplement with egg food; all varieties are listed under Egg food for birds. Deli Nature Grit and minerals should be offered in a separate bowl, apart from seed food.

Which size?
For one or two birds, individual seeds in 2.5 kg and spray millet in 1 kg are sufficient. If you keep several birds or breed, you save money per kilo by buying the large bags of 15 to 20 kg.
