The Refona Mite Booster® cartridge is a capsule containing approximately 1000 live predatory mites. The cartridge provides optimal moisture for the development of the Dutchy's®.

The Refona Mite Booster comes with holders for easy handling. The container is often unnecessary for use in terrariums.

Even feather lice fall victim to Dutchy's®

It appears that the predatory mites are combating the feather louse in its various life stages outside the bird. The larvae and nymphal stages of this louse most likely also hide in the cracks and crevices of the cage or coop and fall prey to the Dutchy's® there.

The feather louse (Menacanthus stramineus) damages the plumage of young birds, which is not yet fully developed. By the time the feathers fully unfurl, they are already damaged, and the damage is irreversible. Due to its secretive lifestyle, the feather louse is a troublesome parasite that causes problems for many bird and poultry enthusiasts every year. People dealing with this infestation should apply Dutchy's® in a moderate dose. If an infestation is detected, the application should be carried out according to the instructions for use.
