Why is drinking water hygiene so important for humans and animals (homing pigeons)?
The digestive tract is by far the largest gateway for all kinds of germs. Clean and uncontaminated drinking water for humans and animals is the basic prerequisite for health and well-being. Life-threatening problems due to contaminated drinking water, such as during natural disasters, occur repeatedly. Deadly diseases, such as E. coli, cholera, and other infections, are often the result of contaminated drinking water in these situations. Everyone is actually aware of how important hygienically perfect drinking water is. More attention should be paid to drinking water in pigeon racing.
What is RopAdeno®?
RopAdeno® is water treated by a new electrolysis process with special properties. This special technology, which subsequently treats this water with electric current, produces, among other things, hypochlorous acid, one of the strongest disinfectants that is also the best tolerated by a living organism. Only because of this excellent tolerance is it permitted to add RopAdeno® to drinking water.
However, RopAdeno® is many times more effective than just hypochlorous acid alone, and with its almost neutral pH value, it is also not corrosive. A part of the electrically added energy is retained in the molecules and substances, which want to discharge back into an equilibrium in the normal environment. This high energy charge could be stored in a bottle for a longer period of time for the first time with the product RopAdeno® and is also demonstrably measurable as a redox potential. The process of disinfecting water by electrolysis is not new. However, until now, the charge has simply neutralized again after a short time, sometimes after only a few hours, and thus there was no longer any effect against bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. What is new is that RopAdeno® has succeeded for the first time in producing a stable and effective product for a long time, thus offering the market a truly marketable product. Several patents underlie this new process.
Why does RopAdeno® work?
When positively charged RopAdeno®, as a cocktail of electrical charge and hypochlorous acid, comes into contact with microorganisms, it wants to use the negatively charged molecules in their cells to equalize itself again. In addition, it attacks components in the cell wall, which then becomes permeable. By attracting (magnetism) the negative cell content through the attacked cell wall, it is destroyed, and the bacteria are mechanically killed "at lightning speed," as it were. This makes the formation of resistance impossible.
RopAdeno® acts in a very short time against all bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.
Furthermore, RopAdeno® dissolves the biofilm in the water troughs, where pathogens can also settle. If you have ever had a pathogen in the water pipes, even clean drinking water can be immediately contaminated again by the pathogens sitting in the biofilm of a water pipe. This problem, that pathogens have settled in the water pipes, can occur anywhere, by the way. This should also be a major problem with pigeon transport vehicles.
The legislator allows a 3% addition (30 ml/1 liter) of RopAdeno® to drinking water and classifies it as absolutely harmless for humans and animals. This dosage provides reliable protection against the transmission of diseases through drinking water. The intestinal flora is maintained, and the animals are bursting with health because they are protected from unwanted germs and freed from them.
A higher dosage would also be possible in the short term in the acute course of young bird disease. In practice, however, a daily dosage of only 10 - 15 ml per 1 liter of drinking water has already shown that breeders who were affected by young bird disease every year did not experience an outbreak for the first time. Many of these breeders were even able to do without the use of antibiotics for the first time. In recent years, RopAdeno® has been used for the first time by many internationally renowned breeders with overwhelming success.
So why use RopAdeno® in water troughs or pigeon transport vehicles?
All pigeons carry pigeon loft-specific pathogens in the form of germs, bacteria, or viruses. If many pigeons now come together, as is the case with young pigeons, then logically after a short time you have many different pathogens directly in the drinking water, where the pathogens multiply cheerfully and are then directly absorbed by all other pigeons via the gastrointestinal tract. This problem has been known for a long time and is referred to in technical jargon as "crowding".
RopAdeno® immediately kills ALL these pathogens and keeps your drinkers clean without being harmful to the pigeons. This means that the pathogens are no longer transmitted via the drinking water and cannot settle in the drinkers.
