In poultry, the crop is at the very beginning of the digestive process. Chickens, pigeons, and quail cannot grind their food with their teeth; they do this with the grit in their gizzard. The crop is located upstream of the gizzard, a flexible, thin-walled pouch at the end of the esophagus. It ensures that the food can be mixed with saliva and partially digested. The crop mucosa has the first significant contact with the food. This places considerable demands on the crop flora, the colonization of the crop mucosa. It forms the first immune barrier at the beginning of the metabolic process.
PerNaturam Crop Mix combines garden herbs and plants to protect the mucous membranes, promote beneficial bacteria, inhibit undesirable bacteria, and reduce abnormal fermentation in the crop. This helps prevent classic crop inflammation, young animal disease, and crop impaction.
Occasionally add a dash each of apple cider vinegar, myrrh propolis, and black cumin oil to perfectly round off the mixture in the soft food.
Feeding recommendation: Add 2-3 heaped tablespoons of crop mix to 1 kg of basic feed regularly, twice a week, including during the breeding and rearing phase. Lightly moisten the herbs and allow them to soak for approximately 10 minutes until they are crumbly and sticky.
Please store in a cool, dry place, as the mixture can absorb moisture.
