Millet sprays for birds: Red millet sprays from France, 1 kg
Single feed for birds
Natural feeding with red millet sprays
Red millet consists of unthreshed seed heads, in which the seeds are still in their natural packaging. This means birds have to work a little for their food by picking the individual grains from the seed head, or cob. Therefore, this is a natural feeding method that is readily accepted by many birds.
A treat for all ornamental birds
The small seeds of millet attract small birds such as sparrows, finches, goldfinches and dunnocks and are a delicacy for all ornamental birds such as budgies, cockatiels, exotic birds and parrots.
Feeding recommendation: Offer the millet sprays to the birds as a treat in small quantities to avoid obesity.
Nutritional information for millet sprays: Millet contains relatively little fat. On average, 100 g of millet contains a maximum of 4 g of fat – in comparison, sunflower seeds contain about 50 g of fat per 100 g. Therefore, millet sprays should only be offered in small quantities as an occasional treat. A diet consisting solely of millet can lead to significant nutrient deficiencies.
