Yellow millet sprays for birds – natural and tasty
Yellow millet sprays are a high-quality single feed specifically developed for birds. They are particularly attractive to small birds such as sparrows, finches, goldfinches, and dunnocks. Here is the most important information:
Origin and cultivation
- Yellow millet is cultivated in various regions, including China, Central Asia, Afghanistan, India, Southeast Asia, Southeast Europe, South Africa and Australia.
- It thrives in nutrient-rich clay and sandy soils and is a natural food source for our feathered friends.
Natural feeding practices
Unlike threshed millet, the seeds of yellow foxtail millet are still in their natural "packaging." This promotes a more natural feeding behavior, as the birds can enjoy the seeds as they occur in nature.
Feeding recommendations
- We recommend offering millet sprays as a treat in small quantities.
- Excessive consumption can lead to obesity, as millet contains relatively little fat compared to other seeds (a maximum of 4g of fat per 100g compared to about 50g of fat per 100g in sunflower seeds).
- However, you should ensure that your birds' diet is not too one-sided in order to avoid nutritional deficiencies.
Offer your customers high-quality yellow millet sprays and support the natural diet of your feathered friends!
