Supplementary feed for pigeons
The beak-sized quartz grit is essential for better feed utilization. It is not dissolved by gastric juices and therefore serves to mechanically grind, i.e., predigest, the grain feed in the gizzard. Klaus gizzard grit is not sharp-edged, thus preventing throat injuries (and potential sources of infection).
