Therefore, a sufficient supply of grit and minerals must always be ensured throughout the year. In addition, grit and mineral mixes provide pigeons with the necessary building blocks, such as minerals (calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, and chlorine) and trace elements (iron, copper, manganese, zinc, iodine, selenium). Among other things, minerals and trace elements ensure the development of muscles, the formation of the skeletal structure, skin, and plumage, and play an important role in many bodily processes.
