Product description

Complementary feed for pigeons
In the late 90s, I was one of the first in Germany to recognize the benefits of high-quality animal protein and immunoglobulin-rich protein intake in racing pigeons. The term "animal protein" was probably coined by me for the first time in pigeon racing. As the inventor of this modern protein supply, I have always pointed out that a easily digestible feed without peas must be fed to the animals in the first few days.
The additions of Tollyamin (high-dose amino acids) and the high-quality Immunol allow pigeons to regenerate as quickly as possible. Muscle building is completed within 48 hours and weight loss is compensated for as quickly as possible. Over the course of a weeks-long racing season, especially in difficult flights, pigeons supplied in this way have a decisive performance advantage.
Previously, the Immunol mixture contained non-specific immunoglobulins IgG, which were obtained from colostrum (cow's first milk). However, a new, modern variant of specific immunoglobulins IgY from egg powder led me to significantly improve the mixture.
The following people were involved in this decision-making process:
Reiner Mecking Dostofarm
Silke Berding EW-Nutrition
Günter Prange AS Pigeon Breeder from Meppen
Dr. Vincent Schroeder Vet. Schroeder-Tollisan
Johannes Jakobs Vet. Schroeder-Tollisan
The new Immunol mixture contains valuable animal protein from egg powder, which is extra rich in immunoglobulins IgY. Egg powder is a valuable source of animal protein. It has a high biological value of 100% and an ideal amino acid profile. Egg immunoglobulins help support a healthy gut flora.
The avian antibodies in egg powder, also called IgY (Immunoglobulins from Yolk), are found in the egg yolk. They have an important passive immune function and bind to pathogenic bacteria and viruses. After the formation of antigen-antibody complexes, the pathogenic germs are excreted with the feces.
The increasing knowledge about egg antibodies led to a new development in IgY technology. In addition to the non-specific antibodies described above, special egg powder with specific antibodies IgY can also be produced. Here, specific egg antibodies are produced by hyperimmunizing chickens through multiple vaccinations and then collecting the eggs for the production of antibody-rich egg powder. This approach is comparable to the flock-specific E. Coli vaccine we produce.
This new idea of specific antibodies IgY for racing pigeons was implemented with the new egg powder in Immunol. Our antibody-rich egg powder contains specific racing pigeon antibodies against:
E.Coli -Salmonella- Circoviruses-Rotaviruses-Cryptosporidia-Coccidia- Clostridia
These specific racing pigeon antibodies IgY have a very high binding capacity and act mainly in the gut. This is also referred to as the lock-and-key principle.
The new Immunol is therefore not only a high-quality animal protein mixture but also a very effective preventive mixture against young bird disease. In addition, the lactose harmful to racing pigeons (Powerplay!!) has been removed from our mixture. Particularly high amounts of lactose sugar are a common cause of stomach/intestinal problems or diarrhea.
In addition, Immunol contains fructo-oligosaccharides, or F.O.S. for short. They prevent pathogenic bacteria from settling on the intestinal wall. Benign intestinal bacteria use fructo-oligosaccharides as food. The only substances that meet all criteria of an effective prebiotic are fructo-oligosaccharides.
The third ingredient in Immunol is whey powder. Whey powder contains vitamins and minerals as well as an unsurpassed protein quality. Bodybuilders in particular use this high protein quality to provide optimal power to their muscles. But be careful! The lactose sugar contained in whey powder has been removed from Immunol. This is very important because poultry cannot utilize large amounts of this type of sugar. Therefore, you should provide your pigeons with Immunol and not with bodybuilder powder (Powerplay).
Products like Tollisan Immunol are indispensable in modern racing pigeon sport. Even if immunoglobulins cannot always prevent young bird disease, which is a complex issue, they do offer strong prevention. In combination with the new Dosto-WG-RopAdeno, the preventive effect reaches almost 100 percent. However, one must be aware of the protein concentration to achieve a meaningful increase in form by the day of deployment.

Application

How to use Tollisan Immunol:
1. On the day of return (old and young birds), give WG-Ropa feed oil over the feed in the morning and evening and dry it with Tollisan Immunol. The duration of application of Tollisan Immunol depends on the severity of the flight (2 to 3 days). As the animals need to detoxify, feed a light feed with plenty of barley and no legumes (beans, peas, vetches). Tollisan Immunol replaces 100% of the missing protein in the feed. If you still administer legumes, you will overfeed the pigeons. This is one of the biggest mistakes during the racing season. The amino acids lysine and methionine contained in Immunol also improve protein digestion, and the performance mineral phosphorus further promotes energy metabolism. Pigeons that return several days late from the flight and are emaciated can be given Immunol dissolved in water into the crop (1 teaspoon Immunol, 1/2 cup lukewarm water, repeatedly).
2. In the breeding loft, give Immunol twice a week as described above. But only when the breeding pigeons are feeding squabs, not when they are sitting on eggs, otherwise they will become fat.
3. Give Immunol over the feed to weaned young birds that are not yet racing, also twice a week. This helps prevent young bird disease. In addition, give these young birds the new Dosto-WG-RopAdeno in their drinking water every day until the start of racing.
