Tarsin is a supplementary feed for racing pigeons that has proven highly effective in breeding, racing, and molting. As an "all-round product," it can be used year-round.

Tarsin contains carefully selected vegetables. These provide a food source for beneficial small intestine bacteria (such as lactobacilli) and are therefore the ideal complement to re-scha lactobacilli (PT-12). Vegetables rich in carbohydrates, with their various sugars, are a particularly ideal nutrient medium for lactobacilli. This allows them (e.g., PT-12, Lactobacillus salivarius) to thrive better under favorable conditions in the small intestine. Tests have shown that PT-12 lactobacilli, in combination with Frutin and Tarsin, can multiply 100 to 1000 times more in the small intestine. This significantly enhances the "booster effect" of the lactobacilli.

The high vitamin C content of vegetables is well known. The body needs vitamin C, among other things, to support the immune system. Vegetables also contain B vitamins (especially vitamins B1 and B2). These play a crucial role in the process of energy production from fats, carbohydrates, and amino acids. The minerals contained in vegetables are also important for a smooth metabolism.

Tarsin contains a balanced amount of green-lipped mussel extract. It's a secret weapon for healthy joint function. Green-lipped mussels contain a high concentration of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs). GAGs are a special sugar-protein compound with excellent bioavailability. Furthermore, green-lipped mussels are rich in omega-3 fatty acids. This helps support the body in building connective tissue, articular cartilage, and synovial fluid (joint lubricant).

Tarsin, with its high-quality, naturally derived protein sources, replenishes the body's amino acid pool. Pigeons require the amino acids alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cystine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tyrosine, and valine. Amino acids are known to support muscle growth and the immune system.
In Tarsin, these amino acids are contained in valuable raw materials from natural sources.

Tarsin also contains high-quality lecithin . During digestion, it ensures that ingested dietary fats are absorbed by the body. As an essential nutrient, lecithin supports physical performance. Without lecithin, the respiratory chain cannot function. With regular administration of Tarsin, additional lecithin supplementation for pigeons is unnecessary.

Tarsin contains a high dose of carnitine . Carnitine is particularly important for the transport of fatty acids. It carries the fatty acids to their site of breakdown. Many biochemical processes cannot occur without the direct or indirect support of carnitine.

Tarsin contains trace elements in chelated form. It is now known that organically bound trace elements can pass through the intestinal wall more readily than inorganic ones. Therefore, it is generally not the absolute amount of trace elements ingested, but rather their digestibility (i.e., their absorption capacity) that is important for their effectiveness. Trace elements are particularly important in the body as components and activators of enzymes.

Tarsin contains vitamin E and selenium as additional additives. Vitamin E primarily protects fats from damage caused by free radicals. Selenium is an essential trace element for the body. The immune system, in particular, requires selenium to function properly. Free oxygen radicals are dangerous compounds that must be removed from the body, or their formation prevented, to maintain a healthy immune system.

Tarsin supports mating readiness, fertilization and the growth of offspring in breeding .

Tarsin conditions the pigeon for travel and promotes an impressive willingness to perform even under difficult travel conditions (headwind flights).

Tarsin provides important raw materials during the moulting process , which are necessary for a flawless moulting process and an intact, silky feather.

Application:
For Tarsin to be most effective, it should ideally be mixed with Frutin and mixed with the seed mix. Tarsin and Frutin complement each other. Since Frutin has excellent binding properties, the seed mix can even be prepared several days in advance. Feeding with Tarsin should not be limited to just one meal per day, but should be extended to the morning and evening seed mixes. Therefore, all seed fed during the day should be mixed with Frutin and Tarsin.
Tarsin's full therapeutic potential is achieved when PT-12 lactobacilli are administered simultaneously (over 10-14 days) during the initial application. The PT-12 lactobacillus bacteria remain fully viable on feed mixed with Frutin and Tarsin, even for several days at room temperature.
During the travel preparation phase (spring), Tarsin is the ideal complement to Magnesi-a-gold , primarily due to the special properties of the green-lipped mussel.

Dosage:
Breeding: 1 level measuring spoon of Tarsin/kg of grain feed daily throughout the entire breeding process.
Travel: 1-2 level measuring spoons of Tarsin/kg of grain feed on 2-3 consecutive days, preferably towards the weekend (see also the “travel plan”).
Molting: 1 level measuring spoon of Tarsin/kg of grain feed at least 3 times a week.

Additional information: After opening the vacuum-sealed foil bag, it is best to transfer the contents to a food storage container and store in the refrigerator.
