This preparation is a ready-to-use tincture of beard lichen for homing pigeons.
Lichens produce a number of secondary metabolites that act as antioxidants and lead to an activation of the immune system.

Usnea Barbata, applied twice weekly or every 5-6 weeks for 5-7 days, has an excellent preventative effect. It provides natural protection without the animals developing resistance.

Immediately before the trip:

However, shortly before your pigeons' racing season begins, a 5-7 day course of medication with Ronidazole BT (10%) is recommended to ensure a completely safe and trichomonade-free start to the season.

Outside of travel season:

You should avoid using any medication on your pigeons if possible, in order to promote the animals' natural resistance.

Recommended dosage:

• 5ml Usnea Barbata per 1 liter of water, twice a week

During the off-season, regularly administering Usnea barbata is a very simple way to keep pigeons in optimal health without pushing them into peak condition. Usnea barbata can also be combined very effectively with Aerosol or Endosan, which you can simply add to the same drinking water. However, we recommend alternating between the two preparations weekly.

During the travel season, we recommend discontinuing the use of Ronidazole, as this form can have an inhibitory effect. During the season, we have had the best results with Metro, prepared according to Dr. Erdösz's formula, which is diluted 2:8 and injected directly into the crop of each animal. With this highly effective and well-tolerated combination of active ingredients, you will achieve trichomonad-free status within minutes, and you will not lose any time in terms of the regeneration phase. Different pigeon strains have very different susceptibility to trichomoniasis. Please note that the more often you treat, the more susceptible the pigeons become!
As long as the pigeons are exercising well around the house, their plumage is smooth, and their droppings are good, you should refrain from using medication.
The longer you can go without treatment, the more constant the condition curve will be.
